Hi, I am Nalaka Daundaratne and a freelance travel photographer. Since you are here, I am sure that you are interested in learning or polishing up your knowledge about travel Photography. To start, most of us believe that we are all travel photographers if we just own a camera and go on a trip and can click photos without any sense of creative touch. Well, I must say, you really must learn, practice, and sharpen your perspective, composition, focusing, angles, and many other skills with dedication before you win the badge of a Travel Photographer. Travel photography is a process of creative and systematic recording of visual frame of an environment or a landscape capturing emotions and stories they really say. This is my definition of travel photography, and this is what makes me love this genre.
First, get to know your camera. Don’t think you need very expensive fancy pieces to start your journey or to get that amazing shot. So, start with learning and knowing about shutter speed, aperture, and ISO before everything. Then comes the big boys. Composition, angles, lighting and focusing. Today, I am not going to go in detail about each as I will be posting them later. I am looking forward to bringing useful tips soon. Until then, travel safe and capture life!
